Step 2: We Recommend the Right Material Structure
Different products may need different packaging structures. We select proper material structures based on your sterilization time, transparency needs and barrier performance:
- For light‑proof requirement: PET / AL / NY / RCPP
- For transparent & recyclable retort pouch: PET / NY / RCPP
- For high‑barrier transparent retort pouch: ALOXPET / NY / RCPP
We only use retort‑grade glue and ink. These special materials prevent pouch bursting and ink color shift during high‑temperature sterilization.

Step 3: Send Samples for Retort Testing
After we recommend the material structure, we send samples to the customer for testing. The customer can use the samples with their actual wet pet food and run their normal high-temperature sterilization process
We do not simply recommend a material and start production. We first let the customer test the samples and confirm that the material and adhesive are suitable for their actual retort process.

A: Our materials support pasteurization at 100°C, steam-water-spray retort at 100 118°C, and autoclave high temperature sterilization from 121 135°C. We match material structures to your actual sterilization method.
Q2: Can retort pouches be customized in size and style?
A: Yes. We supply 3 side seal, stand up, spout, and roll films. Size can be fully customized according to your needs.
Q3: What printing options are available for retort pouches?
A: Only gravure printing works for retort pouches. Glossy, matte and UV finishes are all available. Digital printing is not suitable for high temperature retort conditions.
Q4: Can retort pouches pack liquid or semi liquid pet food?
A: Yes. We select corresponding grade materials for liquid, semi solid and solid contents to guarantee sealing performance.
Q5: What are the advantages of retort pouches vs traditional metal cans? A: Retort pouches are lighter, easy to open and save storage space. They keep original taste and nutrition of food, and help cut down logistics costs. Pre production sample testing is highly recommended.
